BEVERLY BAUMGARDNER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Beverly L. Baumgardner, 86, of Muscatine, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at Lutheran Homes. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Chaplain Vicki Pedersen and Chaplain Martha Lange will officiate the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church. Beverly was born on July 13, 1923, in Muscatine, the daughter of Ike and Florence Schauland Miller. She married Donald Baumgardner on June 13, 1948, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1993. She was a retired telephone operator having worked for Northwestern Bell. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of T.T.T. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and music. Survivors include one daughter, Jana Batchelor and husband, Charles, of Muscatine; and two grandchildren, Adam Batchelor of Muscatine, and Adriana Harle and husband, Mark, of Ames.
