an instructor of speech and theatre at Muscatine Community College in Muscatine. Earlier in his career, he taught at Central Michigan University, the University of Wisconsin Marinette, and Central High School in Marinette, Wisconsin. He was an avid reader, collector, conversationalist, musician, friend maker and game player, but nothing mattered more to him than the love of his friends and family. His family will cherish every moment of his life, including his mother, Cheryl McCloskey of Aurora, Illinois; his father and stepmother, Doug and Susan Larche, of Menominee, Michigan; a sister, Elisa Larche-Ciesla and husband, Jon; his niece and nephew, Emma and Logan of Aurora; his brothers, Scott Kelley from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Mark Kelley and wife, Sarah, of Carmarthen, Wales; the families of his uncles, Stephen, Michele and Molly Larche of Indianola; and Gene, Val, Vienna, Geneva and Harry Larche of Minneapolis; and Jim and Ann Raftis of Urbandale; and his step-grandparents, Dr. Richard and Grace Elliott of Lone Tree and Bonnie Larche of Buies Creek, North Carolina, and the whole North Carolina clan. He leaves an extended family in Kansas, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Iowa, and Illinois. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Florence and Richard Knight; his paternal grandparents, Dr. Harry Larche and Myrtle Larche, his step-grandmother, Marian Pidgeon McCloskey, and his step-father, Robert McCloskey.
