en Goss Graphics in Cedar Rapids for 22 years until the company closed its doors in 2000. He decided to take to the road driving semi truck for a short few months, finally deciding to drive school bus for Jesup Community Schools for the past seven years until he became ill in January 2009. His passions include his family and his love of the outdoors and animals, being an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved just watching the world go by from his front deck or watching his deer grow into big bucks and does. He also loved going camping or taking trips in his motor home to see the sights, a local zoo, friends and even more family. He is survived by his wife, Beth Schwennen of Independence; two daughters, Melissa Larson and husband, Dean, of Clarion, and Julie Canfield and husband, Darrel, of Aurora; six grandchildren, Carie Jo Wiles and husband, Nathaniel, of Gladbrook, Christopher Larson of Waterloo, Casey Larson of Clarion, Nathan Schwennen of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Katartina Leesley of Rippey, and Jacob Canfield of Aurora; a great-grandson, Liam Wiles of Gladbrook; his mother, Kathleen Schwennen of Jesup; a brother, Jerry Schwennen and wife, Janice, of Jesup; three sisters, Kas Kelly and husband, Joe, of Muscatine; Shyann Bohling and husband, James, and Shelly Garbes and husband, Larry Garbes II, all of Jesup, and many nieces and nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews and tons and tons of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jacob Schwennen in 1976, and a brother, Danny in 1977.
