Talmadge Jackson SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Talmadge Jackson, 69, San Diego, Calif., formerly of Muscatine, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at his home in San Diego. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1613 Bidwell Road, Muscatine. Arthur Ousley will officiate the services. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Talmadge. Talmadge Jackson was born on May 9, 1940, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Garridge Lee Jackson Sr. and Ehrma Lee Beason Jackson. Everyone new him as Tal. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School and attended San Diego State University. He married Vivian Gaddis on January 9, 1962, in Muscatine and they later divorced. He was also a recruiter for the Marines for four years in Chicago. He enjoyed archery, basketball, tennis and racquetball. One of his hobbies was Jaguars, he was an entrepreneur of Jaguars, thus the nickname, Jag Man. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Ehrma Jackson of Muscatine; his children, Lorraine Kay Jackson of Muscatine, Liza Renee Jackson of Dayton, Ohio, and Michael Boges of Albany, Geogia; two grandchildren, Milan Imanuelle Jackson and Latrice Danielle Jackson; a great-grandchild, Noah Anthony Jackson; a brother, Richard S. Jackson of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Neomia Jackson Malcolm and husband, Osmond, of Oak Park, Illinois; nieces, Margaret Ann Frank, Cynthia M. Frank, Judy E. Frank, Angela Jackson, Theresa Jackson, Mary Jackson-Anders and husband, Jim and Renata Frank; and nephews, Henry Preston Frank III, Anthony Lewis Frank, Carvelle Machlan, Mark Jackson, Thaddeus Jackson, Jamar Jackson, Hiram Jackson and Esteban Jackson. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Wiley; his father, Garridge Jackson Sr.; a sister, Madie Lee Jackson Frank; a brother, Henry P. Frank; and two nieces, Patrice Frank and Anita L.
