Joann Burroughs MUSCATINE, Iowa -Joann Burroughs, 76, Muscatine, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009, at her home in Muscatine. She requests no visitation or funeral service. The family is caring for her arrangements with the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in her memory. Joann was born on April 28, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Sylvia Wheeler Grant. She owned and operated the Alibi Lounge, Terri's Hid-A-Way and Flaming Embers. She enjoyed being with people, shopping, cooking for her family and friends, nobody left her home hungry, known to everybody as Grandma. She was an independent woman, working seven days a week. She told people the way it was, whether they liked it or not. She will be deeply missed by her children, Charlie Burroughs and wife, Sara, of Letts and Renee Teitsworth and husband, Bob, of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Ashlie Burroughs-Salazar, Amanda Burroughs, Levi Teitsworth (a.k.a.
