Don LaVern Keltner WAPELLO, Iowa - Don LaVern Keltner, 78, Wapello, died at his home Monday, December 14, 2009. Graveside Service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009, Port Louisa Cemetery, Wapello. The Rev. Harlan Winter will officiate. There will be no visitation. His body has been cremated. A Memorial Fund has been established. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello is providing arrangements. Don was born on August 7, 1931, in Grandview, the son of Job and Grace Lucille Hardman Keltner. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1948. He married Marcella Marshall and later married Elizabeth Ann Bryant. He later shared his life with his companion, Martha Lihs. She preceded him in death. He was a contractor and had sold Morton Buildings. Earlier years he farmed with his brothers. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Wapello. He had been a Wapello Firefighter and had served on the Wapello City Council. He enjoyed riding his four wheelers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his companion, Martha; and a son-in-law, Bill Dohrn.
