CLIFFORD R. MC KEE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Clifford R. McKee, 91, of Muscatine, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Unity Hospital. Reverend Ted Landers will officiate the private service. Honorary bearers will be Robert Miller, Ernie Morgan, John Stevens, Frank Schmidt, Michael Rankins and Jeremy McKee. Casket bearers will be Jeff Hartley, Kyle Bass, Luke Jordan, James Rock, Robert Brauns. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family in care of Pam Curtis. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Clifford was born on September 7, 1918, in Muscatine, the son of Leander Ransom and Lulu Crossley McKee. He attended Iowa State University. He married Dorothy R. Soll on June 14, 1940, at the First Baptist Church in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2007. He was a US Army veteran serving during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Those left to honor his memory include one son, Jim McKee of Riverside, California; two daughters, Melanie Kraklow and husband, Dan, of Muscatine, and Pam Curtis and husband, Darrell, of Illinois City, Illinois; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, John, Lee, and Harry; and one sister, Carol.
