DOROTHY DOT FOWLER ILLINOIS CITY, Illinois - Dorothy Dot Fowler, 80, of Illinois City, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be Michael Stalkfleet, Joshua Fowler, Joe Hazen, Tim McCombs, Steve Fowler, and Randy Reuther. Burial will take place in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home with a Rosary Prayer Service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Lewis Fowler. Dorothy was born on November 13, 1929, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of August and Miriam Hartman Kerres Sr. She married Lewis Fowler on August 20, 1949, in Edgington, Illinois. Dot worked for 38 years at the Buffalo Prairie State Bank and retired on November 30, 2009. She loved her job and the people she met.
