Richard Mark 'Dick' Conway FRIENDSWOOD, Texas - Dr. Richard Mark ''Dick'' Conway, 71, Friendswood, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010. Services will be held today at Mary Queen Catholic Church, Friendswood. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation in memory of Richard Conway, 302 Laurel Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284. Dick was born on July 27, 1938, in Muscatine, the son of Walter and Dorothy Conway. He graduated from St. Mary's High School, and then earned his degree from the University of Iowa where he also completed medical school. He married Jean Elizabeth Hodges in 1961. They moved to St Louis, Mo., where he began his internship with the U. S. Air Force. In 1968, upon completion of his duty as flight surgeon in Alexandria, La., He and his family established their home in Friendswood. He joined the family practice of Dr. Joseph Symon, and later his wife, Dr. Diana Alves, where he practiced medicine for more than 41 years.
