Ralland Lee 'Rollie' Chesling DAVENPORT, Iowa - Ralland Lee Rollie Chesling, 69, of Davenport, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at the Westside Assembly of God Church, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010, at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. The McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 'Rollie' was born on February 10, 1940, in Fort Dodge, the son of Irvin H. and Irma L. Ackley Chesling. He married Patty M. Edwards on April 3, 1959, in Fort Dodge. He was a professional land surveyor for McClure Engineering in East Moline, Illinois. He was state registered in Iowa, Illinois and Arizona. He was a long time member of the Westside Assembly of God Church in Davenport and truly loved his church. He enjoyed bowling, stock car racing, golf, guns and target shooting. His latest passion was his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. his life and he was thrilled to soon be a great-grandpa. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Patty Chesling of Davenport; his daughter, Christine Wicks and husband, Ron, of Davenport; his sons, Scott Chesling of Moline, Illinois, and David Chesling and wife, Gina, of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Chesling of Moline, Illinois, Weston and Miranda Chesling of Muscatine, Aaron and Beth Chesling of St. Paul, Minnesota, Rebecca Chesling of Muscatine, Andrew Wicks of Davenport, and Anna and Travis Johnson of Orange Park, Florida; his sister, Barbara Clester of Florida; his brother, Howard Chesling and wife, Carol, of Florida; and several aunts, uncles and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother Irvin and Helen Chesling; his mother, Irma Chesling and his father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Doris Edwards.
