line, Illinois (formerly Star Forms, Inc.) where he was purchasing control manager. Previously he had worked as a lineman for the power company in West Virginia. He was a member of the River Community Church, Iowa City, and was the Chaplain of the Muscatine Eagles Club. He enjoyed bowling, watching sports, crossword puzzles, walking and jogging, music and animals. Above all, he enjoyed reading his Bible. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Dimple Cookie Bruffey of Durant; his daughters, Patricia Thoene and her husband, Darrell, of West Branch; and Phyllis Morris and her husband, Dal, of Ellington, Missour; his grandson, Michael Peterson of Coralville, and his step-grandchildren, Rebekah Sommers, Nick Morris and Derick Thoene. He is also survived by his sister, June Hamrick, of Bel Air, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jean, and brothers Darrel and Clifford Bruffey.
