Miguel Mendoza MUSCATINE, Iowa - Miguel Mendoza, 84, Muscatine, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010, at Lutheran Homes. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. The Rev. Joseph Sia will officiate. Casket bearers will be Manuel Mendoza, Rudy Mendoza David Soto, Tony Mendoza, Rob Mendoza Jose Mendoza and Miguel Gutierrez. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in his memory. Miguel was born on August 24, 1925, in Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Daniel Mendoza and Maximina Valencia. He married Elisa Alvarez in 1945 in Michoacan, Mexico. He attended St Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing dominos, gardening and bike riding. He had worked Louis Rich, West Liberty and did farm work.
