Bennie C. Farley, the first born of the late Joe Farley and Mattie P. Carter Farley in Ellerslie, Georgia in Harris County was born on September 23, 1934. Joe and Mattie later moved to Shiloh, Georgia with their newborn Bennie who grew to be a young, strong, and handsome man. At an early age, Bennie joined and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. And for many years, he served there faithfully; especially in devotion and prayer service. In his early 20's, he met a lovely young woman named Mary Hixson and fell in love with her and they later married. They were blessed with seven children whom they raised through abundant love. Their endless love continued for 46 years until she was called to her heavenly home. Bennie was a hard worker and provider for his family. He worked as a custodian for the Roosevelt Institute for Rehabilitation in Warm Springs for 34 years of dedicated service. Bennie also found favor with the Lord where he served many years at Leverette Hill Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher, custodian, he worked on the finance committee, and he was also a dedicated Deacon under Pastor O'Hara. He remained faithful, cheerful, helpful, delightful, and obedient to the Lord bringing love and inspiration to everyone he spoke with, visited with, and prayed for. Bennie has gone to be with his loving wife Mary and his daughter Sara Ann Brittian who are in heaven; He leaves loving and cherished memories to his family of one daughter; Nakeitha S. Farley of Warm Springs, GA, five sons and four daughters-in-law; Joe Lee (Susie) Farley of Savannah, GA, Bennie Joe Farley of San Diego, CA, Rev. Jerry (Aurora) Farley of Rohanert Park, CA, Michael (Teressa) Farley of Bloomingdale, GA, and Minister Jimmie (Abaree) Farley of Marietta, GA. Bennie also had two loving sisters, one of which is the late Hattie P. Deloach and his beautiful baby sister; Lovie Bell (Ray) Culpepper, and one brother-in-law; Pete Deloach who will miss him dearly. Bennie also leaves behind eight wonderful grandchildren; Briana, Joe-Joe, Rayia, Matrice, Desmond, Tizrah, Jezrahiah, and Zephania along with a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Interment: Leverette Hill Cemetery
