William Jarrard

William Jarrard LONE TREE, Iowa #45;- William Jarrard, 75, of Lone Tree, died Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Lone Tree Health Care Center. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of William. William Jarrard was born on June 20, 1934, in rural Johnson County, the son of Leo. R. Jarrard. He married Barbara Horesowsky on June 24, 1956. Following Barbara's death in 1965, William married Marilyn Elze on June 25, 1966, they later divorced. On April 19, 1974, William married Jean Snow. He worked for John Deere Harvester in Moline as a sale representative, where he traveled the world. He also worked as a police officer for the city of Coralville and an auto salesman and manager of Hawkeye Chrysler in Coralville. He enjoyed NASCAR and racing in his earlier years at the Mississippi Valley Circuit. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jean Jarrard of Lone Tree; his children, Kathy Stevens and her husband, Rick, of Riverside, Krista Jarrard and her partner, Chris Campbell, of Iowa City, and Melissa Moody of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Brian Stevens and his wife, Heather, Jenny Stevens and fianc�'©, Jeff Elliott and Tyler...[more]

Moody; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Kylie Stevens, his mother, Iva Jarrard of Lone Tree; and two sisters, Nancy Yakish of Lone Tree, and Grace Yakish and her husband, James, of Solon. William was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara; one daughter, Rebecca Siebken in September of 2006; and step-son, Perry Snow.
