Miguelina Serrano MUSCATINE, Iowa -Miguelina Serrano, 71, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City. Services will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Miguelina Morales Ayala was born on July 2, 1939, in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Isaiah and Julia Ayala Morales. In 1962, she married Pedro J. Serrano in Puerto Rico. Miguelina worked for Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty, Syngenta Seed in Lone Tree and the Carrington Place in Muscatine. She enjoyed going to church, reading the Bible, knitting, her flower garden and helping people. She is survived by her husband, Pedro, of Muscatine; sons, Milton Serrano and Hiram Serrano Sr., both of Muscatine; grandchildren, Jamar Jackson Sr., Estevan Serrano, Hiram Serrano Jr., Milton Serrano Jr., and Donovan Serrano; great-grandchildren, Shania Phillips and Jamar Serrano Jr. She is also survived by her siblings, Rita Morales, Marcia Morales, Hortencia Morales, Antonio Morales and Isabero Morales, all of Puerto Rico....[more]
