BEVERLY A. HONTS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Beverly Alma Honts, 79, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010, at Trinity of Muscatine. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Casket bearers will be Joe Honts, Tanner Honts, Lee Honts, Dale Honts III, Brenton Montagna, and Steven Crowder. Honorary casket bearers will be Gary Lowe, Doug Buster, Jeff Murphy, Matt Montagna, and Vaun McGrew. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Compassus and Lutheran Homes in her name. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Beverly was born on January 4, 1931, in Muscatine, the daughter of Rex L. and Ulah V. Kirk McGrew. She married Dale S. Honts Sr. on December 3, 1948, in Muscatine. She will be deeply missed by her four sons, Kenneth Honts and wife, Sandi, of New Boston, Illinois, Michael Honts of Rock Island, Illinois, Rickey Honts and wife, Giulia, of Fruitland, and Jon Honts and wife, Robin, of Muscatine; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Kenneth McGrew of Muscatine and Dennis McGrew and wife, Diane, of Davenport; and four sisters, Barbara Buster and husband, Ralph, of Muscatine, Marilyn Lowe of Muscatine, Pam Rudolph of Muscatine, and Linda Murphy of Conesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Dale Honts Jr.; a daughter; Shirley Harris; and a granddaughter.
