George Edward Thacker KEOSAUQUA, Iowa - George Edward Thacker, 69, Keosauqua died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society, Van Buren, Keosauqua. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. The Rev. Phil Campbell will officiate. Burial will take place in Leando Cemetery, Douds. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society, in care of the funeral home or mailed to the family at 11707 130th St., Burlington IA 52601. George was born on June 11, 1941, in Mediapolis, the son of Jack and Isabelle Stafford Thacker. He worked at Heatilator in Mount Pleasant and farmed near Mount Pleasant and Douds. He is survived by a son, Joseph Thacker of Douds; two brothers Robert Thacker of Muscatine, and John Thacker of Burlington; four sisters, Betty Waterhouse of Morning Sun, Edna Roberts of Mount Pleasant, and Laura Samuels and Agnes Thacker, both of Muscatine.
