Lydia F. Lacy MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lydia F. Lacy, 88, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Lutheran Homes in Muscatine. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the First Christian Church in Muscatine. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Lydia Florence Myers was born on August 3, 1922, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Earl M. and Zettie E. McMeen Myers. On August 6, 1939, Lydia was united in marriage to Willie Robert JackĀ Lacy in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away on January 23, 1987. In her younger years she worked for Battersons Department Store, Young Brothers Stamp Works and retired from the Muscatine School Food Service as Director for 29 years. of the Moose. She organized Cub Scouts and the first PTA at Park Place Schools. She was a past member of the Salvation Army Advisory Committee. She volunteered at the Trinity Hospital for many years, and enjoyed working in her yard and traveling. Lydia will be deeply missed by her children, Carolyn Eggers and her husband, Larry, of Muscatine, Reba Stickrod and her husband, Mike, of Guatemala City, Guatemala, and Floyd Lacy and his wife, Inge, of Muscatine; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister; Betty Ashwell of Middleton, Idaho; one sister-in-law; Pearl Myers of Fort Myers, Florida; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant daughter, two sons, Willie Leroy lacy and Jackie Lee Lacy; one grandchild; one brother, Alfred Myers; and two sisters, Mary Bruff and Frieda Nonman.
