MINNIE CECIL ATKINS WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Minnie Cecil Atkins, 103, of West Liberty, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Simpson Memorial Home. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be Jeffery Atkins, Tim DeVore, Ryan Pace, Nate Anderson, Gene Hammons, and Jerry McMichael. Burial will take place in Overman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Atalissa Volunteer Fire Department or the Simpson Memorial Home Activity Department. Minnie was born on August 17, 1907, in Muscatine, the daughter of Samuel F. and Mamie Oeter Phillips. She married Clifford Atkins on December 18, 1925, in Muscatine. They later divorced. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
