JOHN H. NOBLE MUSCATINE, Iowa - John H. Noble, 74, of Muscatine, died Saturday, November 27, 2010, at The Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, where he had lived for the past five years. Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Jeff Noble will officiate the services and VFW Post 1565 will provide military rites. Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the Muscatine Senior Center in memory of John. Casket bearers will be James Noble Jr., Jeff Noble, Steve Dumbauld, Andrew Dumbauld, Tom Van Est, and Justin Van Est. John Henry Noble was born on August 10, 1936, in Nichols, the son of E. Lloyd and Estella (Edgington) Noble. He attended Muscatine schools. On September 29, 1954, he married Patricia A. Heath in Iowa City. John was in the service for three years, two of them in Japan. nal where he graduated from machinist school. He spent 39 years at the Arsenal before retiring. John loved stock cars and drove car No. 66. Later he helped build a kit car (No. 60) with driver Jack Hall. His idol was Richard Petty. He also loved dancing and going to Hawaii. His biggest love was his family. John is survived by his wife; three daughters, Cynthia Fisher of Galesburg, Vicki Dumbauld and husband, Steve, of Bettendorf and Kim Van Est and husband, Tom, of Fruitland; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, William Noble and wife, Jo Ann, of Bluff City, Tennessee, and James Noble and wife, Mary, of Muscatine; and a sister, Betty Holtz and husband, Gary, of Fairborn, Ohio. John was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
