Gerald Leroy Berg WAPELLO, Iowa - Gerald Leroy Berg, 77, Wapello, formerly of California and Oregon, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at his home. Cremation will be completed. Services are pending at a later date under the care of the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Gerald was born on November 16, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Carl and Madge Cummings Berg. He married Margarete Kramer on November 19, 1955. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the late 1950s. Gerald worked for the Civil Service in Alameda, Calif., in refrigeration. He was a lifetime member of E. Clampus Vitus. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He is survived by his six children, Larry Berg of Wapello, Ron Berg of Newark, California, Nancy Silva of Waterford, California, Ricky Berg of Grants Pass, Oregon, Susanna Vicars of Oakley, California, and Sylvia Moseley of Grants Pass, Oregon; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Berg, Jr. of Buena Park, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and an infant son. [more]
