Virginia Wink CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Virginia Marie Wink, 81, Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. Graveside Service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Indian Creek Cemetery of rural Columbus Junction. Commissioned Lay Pastor Ramona Wink will officiate. There will be no visitation. Local arrangements are by the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Virginia's name. Virginia was born on Octover 19, 1929, in Marshall County, the daughter of Ivo L. and Ruby M. Sawtell Wilkins. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1947. She married Donald R. Wink on December 2, 1950, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids. She was employed at Coe College, the Iowa National Mutual Insurance Co. and the WMT Stations, retiring as executive secretary to the president of KGAN-TV on August 1, 1985, after 22 years of service. ey became winter Texans, spending summers in Iowa. She was a member of the Cedar Rapids Ladies Golf Association, the Meadow Creek Ladies Golf Association and the Friends of Iowa Public Television. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Don Wink of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mission, Texas; her son, Timothy Wink and wife, Ramona, of Columbus Junction; her grandson, Andy Wink of Columbus Junction; her brothers, Norman Wilkins of Little Falls, Minnesota, Marion Wilkins of Iowa Park, Texas, and Jerry Wilkins of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
