Carol Emerick

Carol M. Emerick, 84, of Yates City, died at 7:32 a.m., on Friday, October 15, 2021, in Dunlap. She was born on August 8, 1937, in Brimfield, to Martin and Ida (Shane) Reinhart. She married Gene Emerick on December 31, 1953. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2017. She is survived by five children, Martin "Marty" (Dorothy "Kay") Emerick of Yates City, Steven Emerick of Davenport, Iowa, Lisa (Steve) Staggs of Yates City, Terri (Doug) Cosby of Elmwood, and Cherri (Tom) Hoefft of Dunlap; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Maynard Reinhart, Wilson Reinhart, Robert Reinhart, and Richard Reinhart; and five sisters, Margaret Mulvaney, Earlene Luthy, Bertha Bridson, Phyllis Kingdon, and Mary "Willadean" Cady. Carol worked as a Central Supply Technician at Proctor Hospital for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.
