Henry Tameling

Henry (Hank) Tameling , age 94, of Quincy and formerly of Hinsdale, IL, died Friday, October 15, 2021, in Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. Henry was born June 9, 1927 in Hinsdale, Illinois, the son of John and Gertrude Bos Tameling. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Dykstra on June 26, 1953 in Western Springs, IL. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2016. He and Betty lived for many years in Hinsdale before moving to Quincy in 2016. They had attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Quincy. Survivors include: four children, Pat (Rich) Yoshimura of La Grange Park, IL, John Tameling of Jasper, GA, Kathy (Michael) Steinhauer of Chesterton, IN, and Chris (Robert Fountain) Schultz of Fayetteville, NC; seven grandchildren; and 11great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Betty, Henry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
