MARLAN DALE DEVORE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Marlan Dale DeVore, 68, of Muscatine, died on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at All American Care. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Brother Bill Walker of Glad Tidings Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the family in the care of Mary DeVore. Marlan was born on April 20, 1942, in Muscatine, the son of Jess Willard and Grace Elvira Zaehringer DeVore. He married Mary Schroeder on February 3, 1967, in Davenport. He was self-employed as an auto body repairman until he retired in 1990. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Church. He loved to work on cars, bicycles, and mopeds, and he played the guitar.
