Dale R. Soultz

Dale Revere Soultz, 83 of Jonesboro, IN died Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at home. Dale was born in Marion, IN on May 17, 1938, son of the late Paul R.Soultz and the late Edna E. (Ault)Soultz. Dale was a retired Ironworker with Local 147 in Ft. Wayne, IN. For a short time, he was the owner and operator of 'Dale's Pool Hall' on Main Street in Jonesboro. He served on the Jonesboro Fire Department. He proudly served his country in the U.S.Army as a Green Beret in the 10th Special Forces. He enjoyed playing poker, especially in family games. He attended Main Street Wesleyan Church. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Lesta (Eccles)Soultz, seven sons: Gregory Dale (Vicky) Soultz, South Whitley, IN, Randall L. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many close friends. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his in-laws Ivan H. Eccles and Evelyn (Shattuck) Eccles. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Maynard, LoisBogear, Marilyn Miller and Janet Eckert, brothers, J Soultz, Charles Soultz and Ray Soultz, and brothers-in-law: Robert Randolph, Bob Maynard, David Hosier, Robert Eckert and Edward Miller, and sister-in-laws: Ellen Soultz and Glendora Lewis. Service for Dale will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where visitation will be on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 10 AM-12 PM with funeral service celebrating Dale's life at 12 PM with Rev. Alexander Soultz officiating. Visitors are asked to please wear a mask. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
