James (Jim, Jimmy) V. Guido, 62 passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and family, in Phoenix, Arizona on October 22, 2021. Jim was a beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend to all. Jim was born to Theresa and James Guido on March 5, 1959, in Melrose Park, Illinois. Jim is the fourth of five children. He graduated from Hinsdale High School in Hinsdale, Illinois in 1977. He went on to Lakeland College in Wisconsin and graduated in 1981. Jim moved to Arizona in 1981. On April 17, 1996, while hiking Squaw Peak, Jim met the love of his life. A simple hike turned into two children and 23 years of marriage. Jim and Janice Jones married in July of 1998. They made wonderful memories together. Day trips, vacations, good food, Sunday dinners and ultimately a dream vacation to Kauai. Jim was a devout Catholic and a die-hard Cubs fan. He enjoyed an occasional cigar and an old-fashioned. He was an Italian man through and through and even got to take a trip to Italy. e Rimsza (Brian), Ashley Dibble (Stephen), Step-Son Mark Malinoski Jr. (Casey), 12 grandchildren, his sisters Maria Riffey and Nina Guido, his brothers Alan Guido and Joe Guido (Araceli), along with many nieces and nephews who just adored their Uncle Jimmy. Jim is preceded in death by his mother and father James and Theresa Guido and his sister-in-law Linda. The celebration of Jim Guido's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 1, 2021, at Hansen's Mortuaries & Cemetery 6500 E. Bell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Burial services will be at 12:00 p.m. at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85027.
