Joyce Bryant MUSCATINE, Iowa - Joyce Bryant, 72, of Muscatine, passed away on May 9, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on May 12, 2011, at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Joyce. Joyce Ann Hannig was born on May 27, 1938, in Keithsburg, Illinois, the daughter of August Christopher and Ruth Arley Wakeland Hannig. On July 24, 1954, she was united in marriage to Jackie L. Bryant in Muscatine. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Women of the Moose, the Eagles, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. Joyce loved making crafts, baking and going on road trips. Joyce will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Brenda M. Bryant of Coralville, and Linda K. Bryant of Muscatine; three siblings, Mary Lou Frazier of Machesney Park, Illinois, John Hannig of Spokane, Washington, and Irma Marx of Clinton; a special niece, Becky Schlapia of Ankeny; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
