Evelyn E. Labode Nov 29, 1940 - May 22, 2011 OMAHA, Nebraska - Evelyn E. Labode, 70, died in Omaha, NE from complications of lung cancer. Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the St. Vincent de Paul Church, 14330 Eagle Run Dr. in Omaha. Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, followed by Vigil Service at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Oblate Sisters of Providence, Knowles Mercy Spirituality Center, St Vincent de Paul Parish Outreach, or Omaha Habitat for Humanity. Evelyn described herself as a ''Wife, Mother, Feminist, Sister, and Grandmother.'' She leaves her husband of 46 years, Bode Labode; children: Modupe, Ayo, Moyo, Treena Labode and Jim Scott; grandchildren: Hope and Malachi Scott-Labode and Madison Shosten; and a brother, Percy Thomas of Ellicott City, Maryland.
