Jim Harold Strong is known for many titles such as husband, Dad, PaPa, Brother, Friend, Chief, and most important Deacon Strong. Deacon Strong was born on October 8, 1945 to Arthur and Ressie Strong of Coosa County, AL. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Macedonia Baptist Church. Later, he united with Vision of Abundance Life Ministry, where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board and Pastor Aide. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Annie L, Gaddis and to this union four children were born. He started a career in law enforcement as a part time police officer in Goodwater, AL, Not long after joining the force full time in 1972, he moved up through the ranks from patrol officer to lieutenant, from lieutenant to becoming the first African American Chief of Police in Goodwater, AL He retired after 33% years of service.
