Janice Weber INDEPENDENCE, Iowa. - Janice Irene Weber, 65, of rural Independence, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, following a short illness. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at the St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, Iowa. Reverend Joseph Sia will be the Celebrant and Rev. Marty Goetz will Con-celebrate. Music will be provided by Bonnie O'Brien and the St. John's Choir. Burial will take place in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the White Funeral Home, Independence, Iowa, with 3 p.m. Rosary Prayer Service and a 7 p.m. Vigil Service. Janice was born on January 9, 1946, in West Union, the daughter of L. Ralph and Doris Elaine Poor Vargason. She graduated from high school in Maynard, with the class of 1965. On October 17, 1975, she and Thomas Edward Weber were married in Independence, Iowa. She was a care giver for her family and was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Independence.
