Barbara Garstecki

Mrs. Barbara "Bunny" Garstecki, passed away Sunday evening, June 26, 2011 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg where she had resided the last 3 years. She was 73 years old. Bunny was born March 7, 1938 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Max and Gladys Kowalski Cieslinski. On May 16, 1959 she was united in marriage with Ken Garstecki at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Milwaukee. In 1977, Ken and Bunny moved their family to Cedarburg. Mrs. Garstecki was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking, crafts, knitting and pottery. When her daughters were young, she served as a Girl Scout Leader in West Allis. Above all, Bunny was fun loving and enjoyed socializing and being with her friends and family. She will be remembered as always being the life of the party. Bunny is survived by her husband Ken of Cedarburg and their daughters: Leann Garstecki of Cedarburg, Melissa Bruns of Shorewood and Pauline (Lenard) Trusky of Racine.
