Raymond L. Butera

Raymond L. Butera, 72 of Ambler, died May 2, 2010. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Harry & Anne (nee Constable) Butera. Ray was a 1956 graduate of Norristown High School and attended University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Peirce College of Business. He was a Real Estate Broker, for Butera & Associates in Norristown for close to fifty years. He is survived by his wife, Peggy (nee Davis) Butera and his loving children Pamela Butera and Raymond (Tiffany) Butera, grandchildren Madeline, Lauren and Will. He is also survived by his brothers Kenneth of Phila., Robert of Jeffersonville, Richard of Aspen, CO., John of Newtown Square and sisters Doris Bonner of Limerick, Marjorie McDonald of Atlanta, GA and Barbara Butera of Point Pleasant. Ray was an active promoter of the revitalization of Norristown serving on the Greater Norristown Corporation, also serving on the board of the Child Development Center and a board member of the former Sacred Heart Hospital. Ray enjoyed gardening, his family and was a golfing member of Cedarbrook Country Club for 27 years.
