Jane T. Gorman

Jane T. Gorman, age 81 died peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at her home in Lower Gwynedd. Born in Greensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Forrest G. and Helen (nee Ely) Thomas. Mrs. Gorman was devoted to education and worked for the Wissahickon School District as an Elementary School Teacher for 27 years. She taught in every elementary school in the district with the exception of Blue Bell prior to her retirement in 1992. Jane and her husband served on the Board of Montgomery County Special Olympics and were volunteers for the Ambler Meals on Wheels and the USO at the Philadelphia Airport. Mrs. Gorman was also a member of the PA State Education Association. Mrs. Gorman is survived by her beloved husband Frank Gorman of Ambler, and her devoted children Forrest T. Gorman of Haleiwa, HI, Anne G. Orthner and her husband Mark of Hammonton, NJ and William M. Gorman of Long Branch, NJ. She was the loving grandmother of Linda H. and Denise J. Orthner.
