Long, Mr. Terry J. Fruitport, Michigan Mr. Terry J. Long, age 76, departed this life on Wednesday December 08, 2021 his residence in Fruitport Township, MI. Terry was born on July 14, 1945 to Orval Long and Marie (Palcich) Long in Muskegon, MI. He graduated in 1963 from Muskegon Heights High School. After high school, Terry joined the U.S. Marine for two years as a heavy equipment operator. Terry also attended Muskegon Community College for 3 years. He married the love of his life and caregiver Susan Lesky on May 15, 1999 by the honorable Mayor Daniel Balice in the city of Ionia. Terry enjoyed making jewelry, riding his motorcycle, listening to the 50' and 60's Rock & Roll, driving his classic 1957 Mercury Monterey with his wife to car shows and spending time with his childhood friends. He was employed by the State of Michigan as a correctional officer and later joined the Dept. of Public Works for the Fruitport Township and City of Ionia until his retirement in 2005. After retirement, Terry decided to relocate and became a long time resident in the Muskegon area. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his cats, Lucy, Lilchitty, Peekaboo, Ruby and Nadine.
