Roscoe R. Whipple

Roscoe R. Whipple, 64, of Ackley, Iowa, passed away July 3, 2011, in rural Ackley, Iowa. He was born March 18, 1947, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Gerald and Vera (Davis) Whipple. Roscoe graduated from Sheffield High School in 1966. He married Margaret Simpson on March 12, 1971, she preceded him in death. Roscoe later married Carolyn Banner on April 19, 2003, in Dows, Iowa. He served his country in the United States Navy. Roscoe was a construction worker and drove a dozer, he was also an over the road semi driver with his wife Margaret and their dog Mandy. He was a member of the Dows American Legion and affiliated with the Geneva United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, car races and most of all his family and spending time with them. children and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lorenzo (Bud), Virgil, sister Leorna (sis) Conrad and step son Clair Caquelin. Burial will take place in the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa Falls.
