Alyssa Ann Rios IOWA CITY, Iowa - Alyssa Ann Rios, 23, Iowa City passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at her mother's home, Iowa City. Per the family's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Iowa City Hospice. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree is caring for arrangements and her family. Alyssa was born on October 5, 1987, in Iowa City, the daughter of Anthony "Tony" Thomas Rios and Melinda Ann Rice. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Melinda McNabb and husband, Gary, Iowa City; her father, Tony Rios of Iowa City; a sister, Brittany Rios of Iowa City; two brothers, Christopher Rios and Nicolas McNabb, both of Iowa City; her great-grandmother, Helen Gillham of Hills; her grandmother, Bonnie Terrill of Cedar Rapids; grandparents, Randy and Sheree Tadlock of Iowa City; her grandfather, Frank Rios of Iowa City; her grandfather, Don Colvin of Cedar Falls; and the staff of Reach For Your Potential in Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Theodore "Ted" Gillham, and great-grandparents, Henry and Bennie Rios. [more]
