Robert Bruce Kingsley
Robert "Bobby" Kingsley, 67, passed away on December 13, 2021 in Sugarland, Texas. Robert was born in Forest Hills, New York and lived there until moving to Chicago in 1975. He worked on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) as a floor trader for more than 20 years. In addition, he had a true entrepreneurial spirit within a multitude of industries. Bobby moved to Houston, Texas in June of 2021 to fulfill his dream of being near his children and grandchildren. Bobby was an avid sports fan. He was an official recruiter for several college basketball teams, including his beloved alma mater, University of Pennsylvania. While at U. of P. for several years he loved being the "on court" Quaker mascot for the basketball team. He also was a sports agent for several of the up and coming stars in basketball and football. He always looked forward to playing poker several times a week with the JPL (Jewish Poker League). He is survived by his children Michael (Paula), and Joshua Kingsley, his grandchildren Haley, Benjamin, Madelyn and Jackson, his brothers Alfred (Temma) and Stephen (Cathy), nephews Mark (Bonni) and their children Jack and Noah, and nieces Audrey Kingsley, and Beth Kingsley (John and their daughter Mikaila). Funeral services will be held at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet, Houston TX, 77074 at 10am on Thursday December 16th, 2021.
