Harriet Francis Voss DURANT, Iowa - Harriet Francis Voss, 90, Durant, died on Monday, July 11, 2011, at Crest Health Care in Davenport. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. The Rev. Patrick Slessor will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Deb Mohr and vocalist, Henry Bentley. Serving as casket bearers will be Larry Myers, Marvin Myers, Doug Dehrkoop, Benjamin Voss, Kevin Voss and Christopher Willkomm. Burial will take place in Durant Cemetery, Durant. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the funeral home with an O.E.S service at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Church of Christ or the Durant Ambulance Service in her memory. Harriet was born on June 15, 1921, to Lewis and Ella Pasvogel Cromer in Cedar County, Iowa. She married Orven Louis Voss on August 26, 1943, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1994. She and Orven farmed in Inland Township, Cedar County for nearly 50 years. She was a 50-year member of Purity Chapter O.E.S., Wilton. Her grandchildren were a special joy to her and all of them remained very close to her as they treasured their time together. In faith, she was a member of both Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton, IA and Peace Church of Christ United, Bennett, IA. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Warren Voss and wife, Patricia, of Muscatine, Richard Voss and wife, Sue, of New Liberty, and Russell Voss and wife, Kathy, of Illinois City, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Emily Willkomm and husband, Chris, Kevin Voss and wife, Coralie, Kathleen Voss and Valerie Kies, Benjamin Voss, Sarah Bierstedt and husband, Scott, Anna Dehrkoop and husband, Doug, and Jill Voss; and five great-grandchildren, Madison and Jake Willkomm, Lucy and Fiona Bierstedt and Ellery Voss. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Leo Myers.
