Nancy Jo Fife

7/1/1936 to 12/15/2021 Nancy passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Nancy was born July 1, 1936 in the small rural town of St. Charles, MI to Clifford Louis Allen and Arlene Bernice Collins. Her only sibling was her younger sister Gerrie Kay Davis of Hemlock, MI who passed away 9/18/21. As a child, Nancy grew up in the farming community near her birthplace and later graduated from Chesaning High School in 1954. She then graduated from Michigan State University and while there met the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Douglas Fife. They would marry in 1957 and spend the next 62 years together until his death in late 2019. They lived in Schenectady, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Fort Wayne, IN and Dallas, TX before settling in Scottsdale, AZ in 1977. Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing/knitting, family genealogy, politics, reading, traveling and staying in touch with family and friends via social media. Nancy was a truly special person that always showed kindness and consideration for others. She had a natural grace and a quiet strength that manifested as a calm and caring influence during difficult times. She consistently modeled honesty, integrity, perseverance and the importance of responsibility. We will miss her greatly, but are comforted that she is now with her beloved husband Dick, her sister Gerrie and parents Clifford and Arlene. A committal service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:00pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, located at 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
