August 30, 1953 in Springfield, Illinois was a joyous day for William E. and Emma J.White, God blessed them with a baby girl who they named Sharon Denise White. Her parents William,Sr and Emma, brother William,Jr and sister Diane proceeded her in death. Sharon was a sweet child who was always sharing whatever she had with others. Sharon was baptized by the late Charles E.Gayton,Sr. and was a member of the Community Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Mission Department. She worked diligently with the Progressive Missionary District Association in the Matrons and Senior Women Department. Even though she could not be physically present, she was always willing to help any way she could at home. She attended Emerson Elementary, Memorial Jr High School and graduated from Lincoln Sr.School in June of 1971. She attended San Diego State but wanted to start on her employment journey. She worked for the San Diego Unified School District as a Teacher's Assistant and then transferred to the medical field. a Mother to a son, she named him Steven. He is her one and only, ride and die, right hand, left hand, he is everything to her. Steven blessed her with two grandchildren Khrisopher and Khyra who she truly adored. Sharon enjoyed bowling, going to restaurants, listening to all kinds of music and singing. Some of her favorite groups were Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's, the Williams Brothers and of course Luther Vandross. Sharon had been sick a long time, but you never heard her complain. When she was able, she would attend church, go out to eat or just hang out with family. She was a giving person and had an unforgettable smile. She loved helping people but she could be bossy. To know her was to Love her! Sharon leaves to celebrate her life her son Steven White, one grandson Khristopher White, one granddaughter Khyra White, three brothers Larry (Vera) White, Richard(Gaynell)White and Michael White all of San Diego, Ca, four sisters Helen White of San Diego,Ca. Clara White of Fayetteville, Ga. Lena Payne and Pamela Daniels both of San Diego,Ca. One Aunt Jimmie Cunningham of San Diego,Ca. Nieces, Nephews and lots of cousins far and near.
