James (Sonny Boy) E. Ritchie

James Estle "Sonny Boy" Ritchie Jr. 72 of Franklin died Saturday July 30, 2011 at Lifecare Hospital. He was born in Barboursville, Ky the son of James Sr. and Edna Mae (Holland) Ritchie. Sonny Boy loved life and his family. He loved to sing and play the guitar. Sometimes at the family reunion there would be several others singing and playing with him. He loved to ride his Honda Goldwing , his Dune Buggy and his old Ford Tractor. Sonny loved his animals, and his favorite food, Fried Chicken.He formerly worked at Modern Industrial Plastics. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Emmett Howard and his older sister, Mary Naomi. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen Sue, 3 sons, James Estle Ritchie III, Anthony D. Ritchie, and Steven Ritchie. He is also survived by his brothers, Jack Leslie, Carl David, S. Ray, and John Gary Wayne Ritchie. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Jean Gentry, Carolyn Sue Lester, Elizabeth Ann Blair, and Lillie Gayle Polsen. Funeral services will be Thursday 1:30 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second Street, Franklin, Ohio. Visitation will be Thursday at 12:00 pm until time of service.
