Ruth A. List

Sun Prairie-Ruth A. List, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Kindred Hearts Memory Care, Cottage Grove. She was born on October 2, 1939 in Madison the daughter of Charles & Agnes (Lamore) Young. Ruth was a graduate of Madison East High School, Class of 1958. Ruth was united in marriage with Paul List on August 9, 1958 in Madison. She moved to Sun Prairie in 1961. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, ceramics, garage sales, trips to Ho Chunk, dancing and animals. She is survived by her daughters, Patty (R.T.) List, Rio, Paula (Gary) List, DeForest, Judy (Larry) Currier, Madison and Wendy (Denny) List, Sun Prairie; her grandchildren, Angela, Jeremy and Jessica; her sister, Rosie Young, Columbus; her brother, Roger Young, Delta, Utah; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, friends and other relatives; a very special young lady, Lily; her feline companions, "Her Boys", Furby & Herby. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Robert, nephew Tom, and father and mother-in-law. ntil the time of service. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Michael Tess officiating. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorials to HospiceCare, Inc. or the Dane County Humane Society would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the various health care providers who took care of Mom including Kindred Hearts Memory Care, Cottage Grove. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
