Frances Louise Huffman Scheideman

Mrs. Frances Louise Huffman Scheideman, 91, of Burlington died at 4:51 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2011, at Great River Medical Center. Born November 17, 1919 in Burlington she was the daughter of Henry Gehart and Jessie Elizabeth Matthews Gruenjes. On December 26, 1938 she married Leon Edward Huffman in Burlington. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1991. On August 10, 1996 she married Daniel Scheideman in Burlington. He also preceded her in death on April 5, 2006. Mrs. Scheideman was a homemaker and also managed the cafeteria at IRC for three years. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and WIBC (Women's International Bowling Association) where she also served as secretary. She was an avid bowler in the Senior League. Survivors include two sons, Donald E. Huffman of Burlington and Jeffrey A. Huffman of Middletown; one daughter, Mary L. Terhune of Fort Madison; two grandchildren; four step grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one step daughter, Barbara Webb of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. s. Scheideman will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 11th, in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Randall Gearhart will officiate. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are welcome to attend a gathering at Mary's home, 2206 Ave. D, Fort Madison on Saturday, August 13th, at 1 p.m.
