He worked for a farmer near Jackson until May 10, 1954, when Arnie became employed for the Toro Company until January 3, 1986, when he was forced out early because of glaucoma. In the late summer of 1996, Arnie decided to change his life in which he did. He decided that this was the time to live for Jesus, so he gave his life wholly to Jesus. Arnie said, "The Bible gives us the answers we are looking for. It is there. Believe me. I do not know why I did not do this 50 years ago. Maybe my life would have been different. I know where I am going when I die. You can too. Just ask Him, because He forgives us and first loved us, and still does. I love him, how about you?" Arnie passed away on Thursday morning, December 16, 2010 at the Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Society in Windom at the age of 79.
