Sylvia Henrietta Winkowitsch, 72, of Bristow, Iowa, passed away August 23, 2011, at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. She was born November 8, 1938, in Hampton, Iowa, to Henry and Malinda (Eichmeyer) Farnham. Sylvia graduated from the Hampton High School. She married Jim Winkowitsch on March 3, 1962, in Hampton, Iowa. She worked as a nurses aid and was a homemaker and a farmwife. Sylvia was a member of the Bristow Reformed Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, playing the piano and listening to Tiffany play her piano. She also enjoyed farming with her husband. Sylvia is survived by her husband Jim Winkowitsch of Bristow, son Tim (Deanne) Winkowitsch of Hampton, son Brian (Patti) Winkowitsch of Bristow, daughter Tammy (Gary) Brocka of Dumont, brother Charles Farnham of Oregon, sister Kathy (Howard) Brandt of Hampton, grandchildren Cassie Hutzel, Nathan Hutzel, Tiffany Winkowitsch, Jesse Winkowitsch, Marty Winkowitsch, Stephanie Brocka and a great grandson Titan Pearson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
