TIMOTHY BAARS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Timothy Edward Baars, 42, of Muscatine, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at work. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Steven Cauley and Associate Cheryl Hollich of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Doug Chalupa, Joe Manjoine, Matt Whitlow, Kurt McConnaha, Stan O'Brien, and Bob Bartell. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the family in care of Shawn M. Baars. Timothy was born on November 13, 1968, in Muscatine, the son of James E. and Ruth B. Muhlenburg Baars. He married Shawn M. Schreurs on June 20, 1992, in Muscatine. He was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, class of 1992. He worked for the City of Muscatine as a Maintenance Worker I. e his wife, Shawn M. Baars of Muscatine; one son, Tyler J. Baars of Muscatine; one daughter, Whitney M. Baars of Muscatine; his father, James E. Baars of Muscatine; three brothers, James Michael Baars of Dubuque, Terry Scott Baars of Muscatine, and Matthew Cory Baars and his children, Stephanie and Zackary of Lincoln, Nebraska; and one sister, Ada Marie Whitworth and husband, John W. and their children, Hannah, Andrew, and Jordan, of Muscatine. He is also survived by his in-laws, Keith and Laurie Schreurs of Fruitland; one brother-in-law, K. J. Schreurs Jr. and wife, Lacey, and their children, Hallie and Logan, of Joy, Illinois, and one sister-in-law, Michelle Pingel and husband, Kevin, and her daughter, Trinity Crews, of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
