Vincent Alongi

Scottsdale - After 82 wonderful years of life Vincent Alongi passed away on January 22, 2022. He was born on Friday, October 13, 1939 in Caccamo, Sicily, Italy to Rosaria Corso and Andrea Alongi. He immigrated to Chicago, Illinois at the age of 14 with his brother, Paul (Rose Marie) Alongi and his mother. He made a living as a mason and retired to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1998. Vince leaves behind his beloved wife Antonietta of 60 years; his three children, Roseanne (Bob) Markowski, Annette Geraci, and Andrew (Tammy) Alongi; his five grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Timothy) Buckley, Bianca (Taylor) Scroggins, Nicole Markowski, John Geraci III and Gianna Alongi; and his two perfect great-granddaughters, Francesca Buckley and Alessi Scroggins. He was also loved by everyone that met him, especially his extended family and very large group of friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. A funeral mass will take place 10:00 am, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, 11300 N 64th St, Scottsdale.
