Doris Lucille Middaugh WAPELLO, Iowa--Doris Lucille Middaugh, 82, of Wapello, died on Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Wapello Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday September 6, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 815 Second Street, Columbus Junction, Iowa 52738. Father Joseph Sia will officiate the mass. Burial will take place in Wapello Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2011, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, where family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials have been established for the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Great River Hospice, or the charity of your choice. Doris was born on July 20, 1929, the daughter of Ludwig and Lola Kreiner. She was a graduate of the Wapello High School. On May 8, 1948 she married Robert Middaugh in Wapello. She was a homemaker, lovingly known for her homemade chocolate cakes for everyone's birthdays and special occasions. She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wapello and a current member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Columbus Junction. She was a member of the Alter and Rosary Guild.
