Bruce Alan Heuer

Bruce A. Heuer, 49, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his home in Maquoketa after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, July 9, 2012, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 P.M. on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be at the Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. Bruce Alan Heuer was born on August 9, 1962 in Davenport, Iowa, to William Robert and Alice Marie (Wisckerchen) Heuer. He was a 1980 graduate of DeWitt Community High School. He married Brenda Sue Baresel on May 19, 1984 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Bruce had worked at Dynagear in Maquoketa for 15 years and then for AY McDonald in Dubuque as a machinist for over 10 years until retiring due to ill health. Bruce attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. He enjoyed camping, and working on cars and small motors. He especially enjoyed tinkering in the garage listening to Bob Seger, and spending time with his family.
